Welcome to the New Year and our first update of 2025!

Reflecting on the past year it has been pretty much ‘steady as she goes’ for the English and Roman coin markets.

Sound underlying demand has kept buying and selling robust, with coin collecting and investing as popular as ever.

Pre-decimal English coins have performed well although some denominations and periods better than others. There has been a significant uptick in lower grade coins and a partial recovery in Victorian coins which will be pleasing to the general collector. Gold coins have been a standout following the recent surge in the price of gold bullion.

At RCA we had steady sales throughout 2024 which we expect to extend into 2025. We have sold out our Australian offerings but retained some Proclamation Coins. We have added coins for sale across English and Roman categories, including a few at the upper end.

In January we will update all our coin prices. Over the coming year we will add coins on offer especially in the lower denominations. We will also upgrade our website to improve functionality.
